All this other hissing and snarling from you is distraction from that simple fact.

"Candles" are often lit in the crypt of the dead. That kind of lugubrious light sure doesn't impress me. "That's just not true. I disagree. Look who Obama surrounds himself with: radical far left people, progressives (have you checked the historical background of progressives?) From Obama's own mouth "we will fundamentally transform this coungtry." What does Obama mean when he says that? I prefer the government our founding father's left us. Thomas Jefferson warned us of the many misdirections this country could take. ARe we on our way? What I really "hate" is Obama and his apology tours. When Germany apologizes for the Holocaust, when Turkey apologies for 400 years of oppression and genocide of the Greeks, when France apologies for their bloody Revolution, when the Muslims apologize for burying women up to their waists and then stoning them to death, need I go on . . . Have you see the video "Hallowed Ground"? Happened to catch it when I was flipping channels. I was amazed at the thousands of graves in France of Americans who died defending freedom so far from their own homes. I was amazed at how beautifully they are maintained, I was amazed at the thousands dead and Obama goes on an apology tour. "Scare" people? No. There is enough very scary crap going on right now that my little blogs are just that "little blogs."

Re: Our freedom is

IMO I consider where Obama came from and who he surrounds himself with: radicals. Once again "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who or what you are." The loss of freedoms are on the horizon. I will keep you posted when I have the facts. There is something tangible happening. When one loses freedoms they happen slowly, insidiously. Consider the campaign promises Obama has made. I'm not going to list them for you. You heard him. He campaigned as a centrist but he governs from the left. Tell you anything? The recent attempt by the WH for example to stifly Fox news. What would you call that? If the WH had succeeded "freedom of speech" would be gone with the wind. Do you think it's good policy for the State of NH to buy Claremont paper? You think there might be some bias there, some lose of freedom of speech? Many of the agruments on this blog are so adamant in making their point and proving anyone who dares to think differently or puts forward a contrary POV immediately gets slapped down. Who ever said you were a marxist?

Re: Our freedom is

We should tax them out of existence. That will rescue us from this depression. It's a bad idea. We need to stop taxing anything and everything. People need to stop asserting ownership of other people's (or other entity's) wealth. We're the people. We're the government. We're the ones that should be paying. The corporations are run by people too, they also pay just like we do.

Re: Our freedom is

All the more so given the VASTLY greater voice
(= $$$) that corporations exert on government than real persons are able
to. Have you heard that medical insurance corporations are justifying the
mega-millions they have spent on lobbying against health care reform on the
basis that "the spending reflects a commitment to making our voice heard"?
(Pfizer spokesperson Kristen Neese) Okay, Pfizer, you've got the
gargantuan representation, so you'd better accept the taxation!

Do you remember the time when corporations were taxed at a VASTLY higher
rate than they are now? That's also election fraud. Prove that none of those false registrations were used. You can't. We don't even know if we detected all the false ones. This whole issue is being swept under the rugs by the majority party.

We should have to show real ID before voting, and we should have something in place to ensure that people are voting in multiple jurisdictions. Our elections are all frauds until we can make that happen. It cracks me up that we died people's fingers blue in Iraq to ensure there would be no improper results. Yet here.. we just ask for a persons' name and take them at their word. We even send groups like Acorn out to remind them to vote Democrat if they want more social handouts. Then they round up just the Democrat registered voters and drive them on over to the voting booths. Isn't it grand.

Re: Our freedom is

It tells me that the feds are cracking down on the ability of the rich to hide their assets. It's entirely plausible that the increase is due to them having to file honestly rather than hide their assets offshore. International banks are now required to provide such information for the first time in history. Of course you can take those numbers and try to fit them to an agenda, it doesn't shock me. Either way, the power rests in the hands of the consumers. Don't want to make the rich even richer? Don't be their customer. Americans are consumer lap dogs.

Your second link shows how it arguably should be. We shouldn't be taxing industry. That's where are jobs come from which feeds into our income taxes (we all pay federal, if not state as well) and into our sales and property taxes, and all the other various fees, surcharges, tariffs and what not. Isn't it repugnant that your employer would be taxed for earning revenue, then you'd be taxed on the same money as it becomes your wages, then taxed again when you purchase something (if you make the mistake of buying something in a sales tax state), then taxed again if you own property or indirectly if you pay rent. It's maddening. Taxes, taxes, taxes. Pretty soon we'll pay taxes on our taxes, with fees, and a surcharge if we want to pay with plastic. Again, you assert that you're somehow entitled to corporations' money. You want some of that money? Buy stock. Get a job there. Don't say they owe you just because they exist. It's a lie.

Re: Our freedom is

What do you think the excerpts on the six o'clock news are? We don't have time to watch an entire day's worth of proceedings in the congress. We want the highlights. I'm sure this journalist did the same thing. No one is going to watch hours worth of tape, they want to see the offensive parts. There's nothing wrong with that. The parts they showed are offensive no matter what the organization may or may not have done. It's like taped evidence of cops beating a suspect. Regardless of what the suspect may have done, the behavior is not appropriate.

Re: Our freedom is
