The police had no right to be snooping around on his property, I highly doubt that these plants were just sitting on his fronts steps. These charges should be thrown out.

Jimmy- Please show me where this article states that Dave plans to distribute. I read Class B Felony Manufacturing. I don't see the word "distribute" anywhere. Your quote:

This is your own speculation and has no business in this forum. How are you so sure he planned to DISTRIBUTE when this article never even uses that word. " Manufacture" and "distribute" are two entirely different words. I "manufactured" some pancakes this morning but never got the chance to "distribute" them to anyone but myself. Do you get it Jimmy? Maybe I should simplify further. It will all be lower case though so you're going to have to relax a bit.

there are good laws and bad laws.
unfortunately the law making pot illegal is a bad law.
it is time that this law is repealed.

I don't know about you, but maybe it's time all these people had their porches checked to ensure that they're in line with the law. What's with the blanket assumption that no one else could or would possibly be doing this? Have you checked their property? Do you think you have the right to?

Understand your history; our forefathers broke many laws in their day. The rising up against antiquated and unfair laws and rulings are part of our backbone. Again, I repeat the more current laws that had been on the books and are now legal; sodomy and abortion.

If this man wants to grow tons of marijuana plants the police should leave him alone. He's in the privacy of his own home and the cops should worry about more serious crimes other than marijuana.

I cannot believe that you think that everything you read in the paper is 100% factual.
Investigative reporting is just that; a well-rounded look into the issue at hand, not just a
blind "first glance". You need to review what constitutes "plain sight". If I had anyone
approaching my house, I would expect them to act in a reasonable manner; in other
words, they'd park in the street outside my house, walk up the driveway, approach the
front door, etc. I do not expect a reasonable person, (and in this regard, the duty is
higher than reasonable), to ignore the driveway, bolt up my tiered lawn, walk around on
my garden path to either side yard or to the back of the house.

married 0079 your not very smart. the police found the pot plants on the porch went they had a warrent for the dog. since they plants were in PLAIN SIGHT they went ahead and got another search warrent to search the house were they found i think up to 30 more plants. everything can and will be used in court.

What is your point about someone in his family owning the bus company? Give me a break....they had nothing to do with this.

This is how huge rumors get started and businesses get ruined. I think it totally ridiculous and uncalled for to bring the rest of his family in to this.

Until it is proved that the rest of his family had something to do with this they shouldn't even be mentioned.

after they found the pot on the porch they issued a search warrent for the rest of the house. the pot on the pot was in plain sight so it can be used in court legally. pull your head out of the sand and read the full article and police report to get the whole story before you comment.
